Happy Valentine's Day and 12 weeks

Yesterday was Valentine's Day. It was uneventful since Stephen was in Daytona but Miley was my Valentine. We relaxed all day and ate chocolate. I got her a small box of chocolates (only 4 pieces) in a heart box. She'd take a bite then give me the rest. Today is her Valentine's party at school so more candy for her. Mardi Gras is also today and tomorrow. She is out tomorrow but I don't think we'll brave all the crowds this year. I think we might someday when the kids are like 13 and 10.

Yesterday was the 12 week mark for Baby Monty II. Almost out of the first trimester already. I've been really tired lately but feeling pretty good. Today I have a bit of a headache but I think that's only because it's Monday. I had a doctor's appointment last week and everything is going well. I go again next month and then the ultrasound is at the first of April. We're still trying to decide if we should find out what we're having or wait. I wanted to wait with Miley but Stephen didn't. Now I thought I wanted to wait but don't know if I can take it. Stephen is actually leaning toward not finding out this time. I think it will be a last minute decision.

Finally an update with BIG news!

So I've finally logged back on for an update. Lots of things to share with this update:

Potty-training: It is going very well (knock on wood). Miley's been wearing regular underwear for about 2 weeks and only wearing a pull up at night and during naps. We haven't had any accidents but we've only just begun going out and about with no pull-up so I know it's bound to happen sometime. On Sunday we were in Walmart when Miley told me she had to go so I had to scoop her up and run to the front of the store. Luckily we made without a moment to spare.

New daycare: The Y closed at the first of the year so Miley's been at a new place. I don't LOVE it but I don't think I really loved the Y either. When an issue comes up, I just discuss it with her teacher and we work it out. For example they only give the kids milk at breakfast then juice the rest of the day. I do not want her drinking that much juice so she only gets one cup then water the rest of the day. Miley really likes drinking water and I'd like to keep it that way. They are really nice there and Miley seems to like it.

Milestones (other than potty-trainig): Not to much to report here. She has a very very large vocabulary now and we understand 99% of what she says. She is articulate so other people that aren't around her all the time probably understand 80%. She can count to 15 now almost 20 but seems to leave out 17 or 18 sometimes. She knows her abc's very well. She can sing lots of nusery rhymes/songs, not all as clear/correctly as abc's but still very cute. She can also sing parts of songs from the radio such as Boom boom pow, Paparazzi, Single Ladies, New York, and some rock songs that Stephen's been pushing ;). Oh and I almost forgot she loves Don't worry, be happy. I really like it when she sings that one it always makes me feel better.

BIG news: I'm pretty sure everyone who reads this blog already knows the BIG news but if not...Miley is going to be a big sister sometime at the end of August! We're really excited and I'm going to be honest a little nervous. I'm 11 weeks and 5 days right now and feeling good. Had a few days where I didn't feel so hot a couple of weeks ago but nothing to complain about. I'm one of the lucky few who just doesn't get morning sickness. My biggest problem last time was my tailbone later in the pregancy. I also fell on my tailbone when I was about 26 weeks pregnant with Miley and that made it even worse. I just recently have had some pain in that area so I have a feeling it may hurt again. Anyway, so we're really excited. Miley is too little to understand but as August comes around we'll be getting her more excited/ready for the new baby.
